The Sho(e)man's Show.

After what the Iraqi journalist did to US President G. W. Bush, the man who regretted being remembered as a president who wanted War, it was the Indian counterpart, who protested on a similar line, but the atrocity shown by him was on a more homely basis.
The Supreme Court declared Jagdish Tytler, who was on trial for the past 25 years, after he was accused of being a culprit in the Sikh Unrest in Punjab, way back in 1984. An event or rather say a Massacre resulted after the two body guards of then Prime Minsiter of India, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, opened fire on her and assassinated her on 31/10/84.
He was a congress man and on the eve of the coming Union Parliament Election, he was presented with a clean chit by the CBI, who was performing the investigation and words spread that he would be competing an election from the Delhi Seat. This had spread unrest in the state of punjab and all over the nation.
It was on 7th April, 2009, Mr. P. Chidambaram, one of the cool headed political leaders and presently the Home Minister of India was in his last ever speech in a press conference, before the Cabinet gets dissolved. One Mr. Jarnail Singh, a political reporter in Dainik Jagaran, a Hindi daily having a huge capital print market in North India.
He asked the Home Minister about his comments on the Tytler's release. The minister shoved his comment off, saying that he wasnt in a position to answer on matters that was being dealt by the Cebtral Bureau of Investigation, CBI. Being an executive member, it is not right to comment on such matters. If they found him guilty, then they have done their job!
Mr. Singh burst out with his shoe in an act of protest to ducking the answer, as he was deeply moved to what happened 25 years back! Our minister was cool as ever and like a civilzed individual asked the securoty to let him out, and not harm him in any manner. Mr. Singh was later realeased after being warned. He admitted in the media that waht he had dopne was in the spurt of the moment and that reporters and journalists should only protest by their pen or camera and not with shoes...

Last time, there were many computer games hitting Bush with a shoe. What will be this time round? I guess Indians in this aspect are much more down to earth rather than hitting PC digitally. They will voice their thumb as and when needed this Lok Sabha Election, 2009.
